The human soul longs for transcendence, meaning, and the deeper realities of life. We want life that truly satisfies. And yet, we stuff our souls full of that which is artificially satisfying, like entertainment, materialism, and sexual pursuits. In the Gospel of John, Jesus declares this: “I AM the bread of life.” In this, He reveals to us the very thing that our souls crave.
