The world’s vision of sexuality is drastically different from the Kingdom of Heaven. Many Christians have fallen either into the sensual cultural norms or embraced toxic purity culture. Jesus clearly teaches a strict sexual ethic, while simultaneously extending grace to those who haven’t measured up.

Christians should have the highest regard for human life than anyone because we believe people are made in God’s image. A theology that values the sanctity of life makes a difference in everything from gun violence to abortion. According to Jesus, it’s not only the physical act of murder that is the problem. The gospel should give us freedom against the sin of unrighteous anger.

Most Christians today have no idea what to do with Old Testament Law. Are we allowed to eat bacon or get tattoos? It seems strange and outdated. Yet Jesus says that we aren’t supposed to remove one letter of the Law. We need to learn to understand the Law while living in the new covenant of Christ.
