What does it mean to live a life of faith? In this sermon, we learn from Paul’s closing words in Galatians that true faith is not a fleeting feeling—it’s a lifelong commitment. Through seasons of silence, struggle, and growth, we are called to keep praying, keep planting, and keep trusting God to bring the harvest. As we wrap up our Galatians series, we’re challenged to examine our lives and ask: When Jesus returns, will He find faith in us?

In our hyper-individualized American culture, Paul challenges us to think in a more communal way, specifically about sin. How do we deal not only with our own sins but also the sins in the lives of our Christian brothers and sisters? How should Christians go about confronting a believer about their sin? What does it look like to bear each other’s burdens? And how do we do so without becoming an enabler? Paul instructs us on all these matters in Galatians 5:26–6:5.

Some prisoners get so used to life behind bars that they choose to go back—even after they’ve been released . Paul writes to the Galatians with a similar warning: don’t return to the chains Jesus has already broken. In Christ, we’re not just freed from guilt, shame, and legalism—we’re freed for a life of love, purpose, and truth. It’s time to walk out of the prison, shake off the chains, and step into the wide, messy, beautiful life of grace.
