Trust came so easy to us as children, but as we grow older we become jaded. We start dreaming less about how we’re going to change the world and become more concerned with how we are going to take care of ourselves. Jesus is calling us to let go of our lives and trust God like child again.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

How have you experienced ambition out of control? 

How can you recognize pride at the root of your greatest struggles and sins?

Read Matthew 18:1-5 What do you think Jesus means when he says to become like a child to enter his Kingdom?

How would it change the dynamic of one of your relationships if you shifted your focus off yourself and onto them?

What is a situation or an area of your life you need to trust God with and how could you hand it over to him?

Who is someone you could care for and what’s a specific way you could do that this week?

Hope | Pilgrim Songs

This psalm is all about the real hope we have in God because of his great love for us.  Psalm 130 tells the story of salvation: Mercy from God, forgiveness with God, hope in God, and redemption by God.  Our job is to tell the story.

Psalm 128 tells us how to live a life that is blessed by God and how that life can impact the world.  When we fear God and walk in his ways, God works through us to grow fruit, bless others, and multiply his kingdom.
